Tact uses Exchange Autodiscover to make connecting to Exchange as easy as entering your email address and password. Unfortunately, not all Exchange administrators have enabled Autodiscover, so you will have to manually enter the settings for your Exchange server if this is the case.
There are only four steps to get you setup with Exchange, so let’s get started!
1. Tact needs the following pieces of information to manually connect Exchange: server, domain, username, and password. All of these can be found on your iPhone by going to iPhone Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > your Exchange account > Account. Write down these details, so that you can enter them into Tact. If there is a domain listed, you should also include it.
2. Open Tact and go to Settings > Data Sources > Exchange. In order to enter the settings manually, type “manual” for the email address and “entry” for the password.
3. On this screen, you can enter the settings you took down in step 1. Make sure you delete the username “manual” and enter your email address. Also remember to delete and re-enter your password in the password field.
4. Important note: your username is your email address! After you enter all of the Exchange settings, tap “Done”.
